About Us

George Morrisons provides a full compliment of building services to the commercial and industrial sectors.
Our clients include Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, Department of Works and Pensions, NHS hospitals, Local Councils, Semperian, Compass, Engie and Trillium along with other clients large and small.
Although mainly working in the North West of England, we also cover Scotland, Wales and other parts of England.

Our company was founded 120 years ago in 1895 and has successfully maintained its position within the market by adapting our business strategies to suit an ever changing industry.
Within our project management team there is over 150 years of experience available for you to take advantage of. Whether it’s re-tiling a swimming pool, a new multi office conversion or painting a 50 tonne Chieftan tank

Our Past

George Morrison (ELP) Ltd was established in 1895 trading from a small unit on Deansgate Blackpool. George was a local pioneering electrician, who was one of the first to bring domestic lighting into the homes of Lancashire

Over a century later, the innovation and professionalism that set George Morrison (ELP) Ltd apart back then are still the core values of our business today.

The company is now under the direction of Bill Ritchie (an original GM apprentice) who has worked hard with his team and staff and has developed the company over the years to where it is now.

Our Present

Offering a complete range of in house services from building, mechanical, plumbing, environmental and of course electrical installations. We specialise in life-cycle refurbishment and office alterations.

The company now employs over forty staff incorporating a wide and highly skilled set of electricians, plumbers, pipe fitters, suspending ceiling fixers, decorators, joiners and builders.

Through mutual trust and reliability we are proud to have developed a number of long standing relationships with additional tradesmen including architects, designers, carpet fitters, air conditioning engineers and a multitude of specialists that we use on a regular basis.
